About me
I’m Marco Orta, a Fullstack Developer based in Mexico City with more than 10 years building custom software. I don’t ship templates — I dig into how a business actually works and turn its manual processes (the ones living in spreadsheets, WhatsApp and people’s memory) into systems that run on their own.
Over the years I’ve worked across every layer of the craft: from managing servers, databases and networks to designing the interface the end user touches. That mix lets me see the whole project and make better technical calls.
What I do
I mostly work with small and medium businesses that need something off-the-shelf software can’t solve:
- Custom systems — ERPs, CRMs and inventory built around how your team works, not the other way around.
- E-commerce — stores that actually sell, with payment gateways, SEO and analytics that matter.
- Web & mobile apps — a single codebase for web, iOS and Android.
- AI automation — agents and workflows that remove repetitive work and pay for themselves.
How I work
I like working directly — no middlemen, no unnecessary jargon. We start from the problem and the business outcome you’re after, not from a list of technologies. I deliver in iterations so you see progress early, write code that’s maintainable and testable, and leave everything documented. I reply in under 24 hours and keep my code public and auditable whenever I can.
My journey
I’ve led the development of ERP and e-commerce modules that lifted sales and operational efficiency, optimized sites for SEO with measurable gains in traffic and leads, and run cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker) end to end. Today I pair that systems background with modern development (TypeScript, Astro, Laravel, Node) and agentic AI tooling.
I keep learning in public: I write on the blog, publish free tools I use myself, and release projects as open source. If you have an idea or a process that’s eating your time, get in touch — every new project is a chance to build something worth it.
