List rates per DELIVERED message, before VAT. Meta bills in MXN at its own exchange rate, which is why nothing is converted from USD: the USD total is the dollar list rate, not a conversion of the peso total.
Mexico row rates read from Meta's documentation on 2026-09-13.

What this tool does
It works out what Meta charges per month for WhatsApp Business API in Mexico, using the peso list rates. You enter your volume (conversations, service messages, utility templates inside and outside the 24-hour window, marketing, authentication and number of business phone numbers) and it shows, item by item, count times rate equals pesos.
It shows two rate cards side by side: July 2026, in force until 30 September, and October 2026, in force since 1 October, with the difference between them. The starting values are a business with 600 conversations a month: 343.30 MXN on the July card and 834.40 MXN on the October one.
What changed on 1 October
- Service messages stopped being free without limit: 1,000 are free per month per number and billing starts at the 1,001st.
- Utility templates inside the 24-hour window stopped being free.
- Marketing messages went from 0.5614 to 0.7298 MXN.
What is and is not counted
These are list rates per delivered message, before VAT. Meta bills in pesos at its own exchange rate, which is why the calculator does not convert from dollars. It does not include what your API provider (BSP) charges or the cost of building the integration. Everything is calculated in your browser.
Frequently asked questions
How much does each WhatsApp Business API message cost in Mexico?
On the rate card in force since 1 October 2026, Meta's list rate is 0.7298 MXN per marketing message, 0.1565 MXN per utility message, 0.1565 MXN per authentication message and 0.1565 MXN per service message from the 1,001st of the month. Rates are per delivered message, before VAT. A utility template inside the 24-hour window, free until September, is now charged from the first message.
What are the 1,000 free messages per number?
From 1 October 2026, the first 1,000 service messages each month are free for every business phone number; billing starts at the 1,001st. The allowance does not roll over to the next month. With two numbers, each brings its own 1,000, so 1,500 service messages split between them cost nothing. The calculator applies the allowance based on the number of phone numbers you enter.
What is the 24-hour window?
It is the 24-hour period that opens every time the customer writes to you. Inside it you can reply with free-form messages, which count as service, and also send templates. Once 24 hours pass without a customer message, you can only start the conversation with an approved template, and that one is charged by its category.
How much does a utility template cost inside versus outside the window?
Until 30 September 2026, a utility template sent inside the 24-hour window was free and outside it cost 0.1565 MXN. From 1 October it is also charged inside the window, at the same 0.1565 MXN. For a business that sends many confirmations or status updates while the customer is chatting, this is the change that weighs the most.
How much does a marketing message cost?
0.7298 MXN per delivered message from 1 October 2026, up from 0.5614 MXN. It is the most expensive category and the one that rose most, by 30%. Any template meant to promote, offer or win back a customer counts as marketing, even if it carries useful information.
Why does Meta bill in MXN and the calculator does not convert from dollars?
Because Meta publishes its own peso rate for Mexico and bills in that currency at its own exchange rate, which matches neither your bank's nor the day's. Converting the dollar rate to pesos would give a different figure from your invoice. So the calculator uses the MXN rate for the peso total and shows the USD total as the dollar list rate, not as a conversion.
